Popular Formula D Tire Manufacturers

Sport fans tend to follow the sponsors of their favourite team or player. The same can be said with auto racing; the only difference is that these players are referred to as drivers. In fact, with auto racing, this is most commonly seen with NASCAR. It has been said that NASCAR has the largest group of loyal fans. Fans not only support the sponsors of their favourite drivers, but they also tend to purchase merchandise or services from them. The same can be said with Formula Drifting.

Formula Drifting is a sport that is relatively new to the United States. Despite the fact that the first professional event was held in 2004, the sport still has quite the fan following. Like many NASCAR fans, these fans are loyal. That is why a large number of sponsors, also commonly referred to as product manufacturers have made the decision to become involved with the sport. When it comes to Formula D, the sponsors that most often first come to mind are tire manufacturers.

Tire manufacturers do not just get their name on a driver’s uniform, but they also provide that driver with tires. With Formula D, the tires used are extremely important. In fact, to create a drift the tires need to loose tractions with the ground. This essentially helps to create the perfect drift. Since tires are so important to the sport of drifting, there are a large number of tire manufacturers who have inserted themselves into the sport. In fact, it has been noted that Formula D has the most tire manufacturer sponsors of any other motor sport; which includes NASCAR.

Nitto Tire is one of the many tire manufacturers that is involved with Formula Drifting. This manufacturer, like many other tire manufacturers, makes tires for all different vehicles and all different driving conditions. While they are well known for their tires for traditional vehicles, such as cars, SUV, and trucks, Nitto Tire is most well known for its racing tires. One of these tires includes the NT 555 RII. This type of tire is used primarily with road racing and other competitive sports, such as Formula D.

BF Goodrich Tire is another tire manufacturer that participates in Formula Drifting. This tire manufacturer is one of the most well known manufacturers in the United States. As with Nitto Tires, BG Goodrich Tires has a wide variety of different tires, available for all different uses. When it comes to sports cars and Formula Drifting, quite a few BF Goodrich Tires are ideal for the sport.

Maxxis Tires, another sponsor and tire manufacturer involved in Formula D, is also a well known tire manufacturer. Although they are not as well known to most everyday individuals, they are well known to those involved in auto sports, such as auto racing or Formula Drifting. In fact, most of Maxxis Tire’s focus is placed on auto sports, including Formula Drifting.

Perhaps, out of all of the tire manufacturers and sponsors, for Formula Drifting, Bridgestone is the most well known. Bridgestone’s tires are not only used in Formula D, but other motor sports as well. These additional sports include, but are not limited to, Formula 1, supercross racing, and monster truck racing. Bridgestone is not just popular among racing, but it is a company that is known by just about everyone. In fact, there is even a chance that you have Bridgestone tires on your personal vehicle.

In addition to the above mentioned tire manufacturers, Toyo Tires, Falken Tires, Cooper Tires, and Dunlop Tires are also Formula D sponsors. To add interest or extra excitement to your next Formula D event, keep an eye on the tires being used. While all of these tire manufacturers come highly recommended, you will often find that the tires used makes all the difference in the world.

Car Tire Information You Should Know

Your car tire is one of the things that can provide you with a great riding experience. Even the most expensive and stylish cars are nothing without a good set of tires. If you want to personally shop for your tires, here are some important pieces of information that you should never neglect.

Size Matters

Different tires don’t just have different brands. They also come in different sizes. Your car tires should always fit the type of vehicle you are driving. Examples of various types of tires for vehicles are passenger and light truck type tires. If you get a smaller size than is appropriate, you could endanger yourself or end up paying more for tire maintenance.

You would know your tire size by looking for it in your car manual or on the sidewall of your tires. The sidewall print also contains other pieces of important tire information. If you are not sure how to interpret the sidewall letters and numbers, you may want to consult a tire and car website for proper interpretation. Some sites will simply let you enter information on your car’s model and make so you can get your tire size information.

Rims Should Match

Aside from the size, you should also have the appropriate rims for your tires. The rims give your tires the right support. Getting the wrong rim for your car tire may result in too much tension on your tires. This could damage your tires sooner than they should be. If you want to customize your wheels, make sure you consult experts who know which tires fit with which rims.

Many Different Tires

There are various options for car tires. You can have tires for the winter and summer. Tires are also categorized according to type of vehicle. Passenger tires have different dimensions from those used in vans and SUVs.

One other category of tires is according to use. Each driver may have very specific driving styles. Some may also drive more often in rough terrain than others or may need their vehicles for frequent transport of heavy load. There are specific tires depending on your intended use and the way you use your tires.

Tires Don’t Last Forever

Regardless of the tire brand and how carefully you take care of your tires, they will not last for a lifetime. Part of keeping yourself safe on the road is to know exactly when your tires should be changed. You can follow manual suggestions for when tires should be changed. You should however also manually check your tires. Look for leaks, tears, wear and bumps on the rubber of your tires.

You Shouldn’t Guess

If you aren’t sure about anything about your tires, then you shouldn’t make guesses. You could put your life in danger. If you need any help with tire information or tire changes, you should ask a qualified tire dealer.

Never underestimate the value of getting the right car tire. Save on money and effort by asking experts to help you get your tires.

How to Decide which Used Car to Buy in Pakistan

If you read my previous article “Used Cars – An Ideal Choice for a Second Family Car in Pakistan” and you’re convinved that buying a used car is the way forward, here are a few tips that will help you secure a good deal.

Decide a Budget: Are you paying cash? Will you be financing uor car? What is your monthly expenditure? How much would you need as a backup in case of emergencies? These are all questions that need to be answered before coming up with a comfortable budget. Don’t overspend and regret it later. Be firm and stick to a comfortable numer. Decide on the Make: Whether it’s a Toyota, Honda, Suzuki or Charade make sure you know the resale value of these cars. On a limited budget, I would opt for a more popular model with a higher resale value. And remeber, its not just the model but also the year of manufacture that counts – for example the 2006 Honda Civics were far more popular than the 2007 model and hence have a higher resale value. And you don’t have to stick with one manufacturer. Decide on Car Specs and Features: Are you looking for a petrol or CNG car? Do you need a power steering? What colour do you prefer? What should the engine capacity be? You should have a fair idea of the effect each of the features will have on the price of a car. Avoid luxurious features that unnecessarily push the price upwards. Stick to the basics and worry more about cost saving features like fuel type. Another suggestion is to avoid dark or very light colours as they accentuate flaws and dust (the latter is especially true for Karachi). Start Looking: Now that you’ve figured out what kind of car you want and for how much, you can start searching. I’ve covered how to find a used car for sale in Pakistan in the last article. What you need to remember is to search wide and deep. Just because you think you’ve found the right car after an hour of research does not necessarily mean you actually have. Browse through popular newspapers and online classifieds especially ones with current and daily ads posted. Make a List: Make a list of cars that fit your budget on Microsoft Excel or on paper and remember to mention the price, phone number, contcat name and other important features alongside each car. Online classifieds permit you to save your favorite ads in your area of the site so you can access them later. Leave enough space for comments, scheduled meetings and followup notes to help you keep a tab on your conversations and negotiations. Start Calling: What are you waiting for? Call away!

I hope you find these tips helpful in deciding on a budget and the kind of used car you’re going to buy. You can share your comments and feedback in the comments section. In the mean time, good luck and happy hunting!
